Jump power from positive of battery to the motor. If it spins the motor is good. Then check the solenoid for power switching. You should hear a click when engaging up/left or right ( shut the truck off but turn the key on. Turn the radio down and the heater off.

I've also had an issue with a set of wiring - the battery harness on the truck was not making a good connection to the pins on the plow side harness. They didn't look visually egged out or anything. I ended up putting a little coiled up wire in the bottom on the truck side and it worked great. WebDec 9, 2003 · 2.
