These imputation credits can offset the amount of income tax New Zealand resident shareholders would otherwise be liable to pay on the dividend income received. WitrynaThis credit is subject to the payment of the dividend out of fully taxed income. If it is paid out of untaxed or partly taxed income, the distributing company is obliged to pay an equalization tax. The additional tax ensures that the imputed dividend credits granted to the shareholders are fully franked by the corporate tax payment.
