The number of parents taking up maternity, paternity or parental leave might change in the months and years to come, as the COVID -1 9 pandemic may lead to changes in family formation plans. WebThe maximum length of parental leave is still 65 weeks and the leave must end no later than 78 weeks after the birth or adoption. If the birth occurred before January 1, 2024, the maximum length of parental leave is 52 weeks and the leave must end no later than 70 weeks after the birth or adoption.
